During its Tokyo Game Show 2025 event, Microsoft confirmed that Winter Burrow is coming to Xbox Game Pass as a day one game on November 12. Xbox Game Pass has had an incredible 2025, and now that yet another day one game has locked down a release date, it’s clear that the last few months of the year will be big for the service as well.
Xbox Game Pass’ 2025 has included critically-acclaimed GOTY front-runners like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Hollow Knight: Silksong, along with big budget, blockbuster releases like Doom: The Dark Ages. There are plenty more exciting new Xbox Game Pass games coming in the near future, and now subscribers can safely mark their calendars for a game coming November 12.
Winter Burrow Release Date

As announced at Tokyo Game Show 2025, Winter Burrow will be launching on November 12, and when it does, it will be doing so as a day one Xbox Game Pass game. For those unfamiliar with the game, Winter Burrow is a survival game where players take on the role of a mouse in a storybook world who has to collect resources to survive the winter, all the while solving the mystery of what happened to their aunt. A cozy take on the survival game genre, Winter Burrow allows players to “play at their own pace” and also gives them the option to decorate their burrows. It looks rather promising, and those subscribed to the Ultimate and PC tiers of Game Pass will get to play it on the day of its release.
Winter Burrow isn’t the only game coming to Xbox Game Pass in November 2025. It’s also been confirmed that Football Manager 26 is launching on November 4, while Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is joining the service on November 14. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is likely to follow in the footsteps of its predecessors as one of, if not the biggest new game release of the year, and so it should ensure that November is an absolutely massive month for Game Pass.
Of course, there’s still October to go before November, and luckily, there are a bunch of new Game Pass games releasing next month as well. Little Rocket Lab and SOPA are coming to Game Pass on October 7, while Ball x Pit is joining the service on October 15. Double Fine’s Keeper will be joining the Game Pass lineup on October 17, and Ninja Gaiden 4 is coming on October 21. Bounty Star and Moonlighter 2 are on deck for October 23, and finally, The Outer Worlds 2 will be added to Game Pass on October 29. It’s likely that even more Game Pass games will be announced for 2025 before the year is out, so subscribers should keep an eye out for more information.
